Looking for an experienced mobile auto electrician or car alarm specialist to bypass a faulty dealer-fitted Brant keypad immobiliser on a 2002 Subaru WRX (Bugeye). The car is currently located in Fitzroy and is immobilized (cranking/not starting). Required: - Locate the Brant module and bypass the fuel/ignition immobilization points. - Restore standard key-to-ignition function. - Cleanly solder and heat-shrink the factory wiring loops.

I require a mobile auto electrician to diagnose an electrical fault on a 2000 Toyota LandCruiser 105 Series with a 1FZ-FE petrol engine and automatic transmission. The driver-side and passenger-side footwell junction blocks suffered water damage and have since been replaced with matching units. The vehicle cranks but will not start, the instrument cluster is not operating, and neither the main nor sub fuel pump is running. The replacement main fuel-pump motor has been bench-tested and operates correctly. Approximately 10.8 V is present at the disconnected pump connector, but the circuit produces only a dim test-globe result under load, indicating a likely high-resistance connection, relay, earth, junction-block or wiring fault. The dashboard and some interior components are currently removed, providing good access to the junction blocks, wiring, ECU, relays and connectors. The vehicle is not driveable and is located in Yarraville. Could you please advise your availability, call-out fee and likely hourly rate for fault-finding and repair? Thanks, Phil

Factory clock and car stereo have completely stopped working in 2009 VE Commodore. It has a pioneer head unit with Aerpro system and the air con is running through this still but can't control any speeds. Initially the steering wheel controls stopped working and then in the last 2 days I've completely lost the clock and radio. Would like this fixed up and the steering wheel controls working again also. Had a mechanic check all the fuses yesterday and couldn't find any faulty fuses so will need some diagnostics run to find the fault he said.

Both LED headlights suddenly went dim about a week after a recent service — one is very dim, the other dim. The lenses are clean/clear, so it's not the covers. It came on suddenly, not gradually, so I think it's electrical (loose terminal, earth/ground, or charging). Hardwire a dashcam. I've already bought the dashcam. I'd like it hardwired to the fuse box for a clean install (no cable to the 12V socket), with the wiring tucked into the trim. Vehicle: 2004 Toyota RAV4 Location: Coogee We just had a mobile mechanic out, who has suggested we need an auto electrician. Issue: Initially was alternator wasn’t charging. It was odd because the alternator and battery had changed less than one year. I bought a new battery from the NRMA, which just went flat on a long drive. It was driving fine once I charged the battery up. But when the mechanic came to look, the - Engine cranks but won’t start - Cylinder 2 & 4 ignition coils not firing - Low voltage at ECU trigger wires to coils - Previously had intermittent charging issues - Alternator behaviour has been inconsistent - Diagnostic tool previously struggled to connect What’s already been checked: - Battery replaced (new) - Fuel pump working - Fuses checked (all OK) - Continuity from alternator to battery OK - Alternator exciter wire previously had 14V, then 0V - Ground cable visually inspected (may still need proper load testing) - Spark issue identified on cylinders 2 & 4 What we need: - Proper electrical diagnosis (ECU power/ground, wiring, voltage drop testing) - Someone experienced in wiring faults, ECU circuits, and ignition systems - Not looking for parts replacement without diagnosis - Thinking maybe something up with the key and sending the signal to start as the spare key behaves similarly.
