Looking for an experienced tradesperson to supply and install sliding door(s) to enclose an open brick alcove and turn it into secure (please see the attached image), lockable storage at my property. The space currently has no door or frame — it's an open brick nook under a concrete slab, so the track will need to be fixed to the underside of the slab with a bottom guide track set into the concrete floor. Open to suggestions on the best way to approach this — if there's a better solution than sliding doors for securing this space, I'm happy to hear it. Scope of work: Supply and install sliding door(s), or an alternative solution if you have a better suggestion, with surface-mounted overhead track (fixed to underside of concrete slab) and floor guide. Door(s) must include a secure locking mechanism (padlock hasp, key lock, or similar) suitable for outdoor storage security. Fit handles and hardware and any required trims or stops. Anchor track securely into brick/concrete as needed. Details: Location — outdoor brick alcove/storage nook under a covered concrete slab (carport area). Exact measurements can be confirmed on site visit. No existing door frame, open brick opening. Supply plus install — happy for tradesperson to recommend suitable secure, weather-resistant door and locking options, and open to ideas on the best overall approach. Requirements: Own tools and transport. Experience installing sliding doors or similar secure storage solutions, ideally with outdoor or semi-outdoor installs. Task details: I need a locksmith or experienced handyman to swap out my existing front door and back door locks for new smart locks and lever handles. All hardware is supplied — I just need it fitted properly. What’s involved: • Remove the existing Lockwood electronic rim deadlatches (surface-mounted) from the timber front door • Install an Aqara U400 smart lock (Apple Home Key, battery-powered deadbolt style). Note: because the current lock is a rim deadlatch rather than a standard deadbolt, the door will need new boring for the U400 — a cross-bore through the face (~54mm) and an edge bore (~25mm) for the bolt. Please factor this in when quoting. • Fit a passage lever handle set (tubular latch, 60mm backset) supplied separately • Adjust/replace the strike plate on the frame so the bolt throws cleanly and the door closes square • Fill / patch any holes left from previous lock The front door is a solid timber heritage door, so I’d prefer someone comfortable working neatly on older timber and getting the alignment right (the door may have settled slightly over the years). No wiring or power needed — the locks are battery-operated. Photos of existing lock attached (same on both doors) as well as new lock.

I have broken the plastic door knob off a bedroom door. It does not need a lock but I think the whole set needs to be replaced. I bought a product from Bunnings but don’t know how to fit it

A start was made on installing an electric strike release into a metal frame but the guy never came back to complete the job! Need someone with locksmith tools and experience. Cabling and access control not part of this job, it’s purely to mount the lock release mechanism correctly for us.

Old faulty deadbolt was removed and gap filled. We have already purchased the deadbolt (N2Lok forged brass round single cylinder, matte black). Please see the attached photo of the door.
