Supply & Install Light Decorative Gravel Courtyard Ground Cover

$800

Elwood VIC 3184, Australia

23rd Jan 2026

I’m looking for an experienced landscaper or handyperson to prepare and install a light decorative gravel ground covering in a small residential courtyard. (See attached before and proposed after images on how we’d like it to look) Courtyard size: approximately 13 metres x 2 metres (26 m²) Scope of works: • Remove existing loose soil, weeds and debris • Light ground levelling as required • Supply and install weed-mat • Supply and install light-coloured decorative gravel (e.g. white quartz or light limestone, approx. 10–20mm) • Neat finish to edges (existing brick edges can be used; no major retaining required) • Courtyard easily accessible at ground level The goal is a clean, low-maintenance, modern finish that suits a brick apartment courtyard and allows for good drainage. Please note: • Please quote either: • Full job including materials and labour, or • Labour only if you are unable to supply materials • Clearly specify what your quote includes • Photos of similar completed work are welcome

Create landscaped light well

$250

East Melbourne VIC, Australia

17th Jan 2026

I’m after a naturalistic, Ian Barker–style feel, not anything formal or overdesigned. The ground should be soft green groundcover (e.g. native violet or Dichondra repens) over a free-draining base, with three small, irregular creek-style stones (200–300 mm) half-sunk into the groundcover for occasional footing. Stones should feel incidental, not like a path. No wall features, trellises or vertical elements. Planting should pull back slightly from the door threshold for drainage and access. Overall goal: calm, organic, understated, and very tidy once established.

What do landscape lighting services include?

Finding landscape lighting installers near you is easy on Airtasker. Now that you’re here on our platform, you’re a step closer to having decorative lamps, motion sensor lights, and even holiday decor in your garden. The next step is to put up a task. Taskers can understand your project better and prepare the necessary tools when you include clear and detailed information.

However, we know it’s not that easy, especially when unfamiliar with professional landscape lighting projects. Don’t worry. We listed down some typical jobs related to landscape lighting here to help you create your own task:

Landscape lighting design

If you want lights in your outdoor area, the first thing that you can do is consult with a lighting design specialist. They can help you determine the right kind of lights and bulbs for your idea in mind. After you’ve spent on the paving for your garden, we’re sure that you want it to be complemented with the outdoor lights.

Do you want color-changing lights inside the swimming pool or ambient mood lighting in the gazebo? Start brainstorming with a Tasker, and watch them put your dream design on paper with executable plans.

Landscape lighting installation

Installing lights in an outdoor area isn’t as simple as lining them up in the spots you want them to be in. Take note that the yard is exposed to harsher environments. You need efficient waterproofing technology as well as modern security features. Taskers are well equipped to arrive at your property to get this done. There’s no need for you to provide screwdrivers, electrical tape, and other tools. However, if you want to order specific lighting fixtures, that’s fine, too!

You may also want to discuss with your Tasker how to connect the electrical control of the lights to your home system for the indoor lighting, especially if this was installed prior. This can add so much ease at night because you don’t have to go out to adjust the lights.

Landscape lighting maintenance and repair

Once your Tasker has installed the lights outdoors, don’t forget to ask them about warranties and maintenance after installation. The lights in your garden may need more frequent maintenance to prevent short circuits or fires. You can have regular servicing or repair work added to your agreement or hire a different Tasker for these services.

Make sure to include what kind of outdoor lighting was used in your property and if you have any important details like the wattage for the electricity supply, the brands of the lighting fixtures, and the number of lights in the area. Indicate if you only need to have one bulb replaced or if you need a Tasker to check the whole area as this would affect costs and the required expertise from your Tasker. If you’re ready to put up a task, go ahead and select that pink ’Post a task’ button. Taskers would be glad to help you get more done!
