Need an experienced Handyman or Carpenter to adjust/realign an internal wooden door. The door frame/door has dropped due to settlement, causing uneven gaps (top right is too wide / door rubbing). May need hinge adjustment, shimming, or planing the door edge if required. Please supply your own tools.

Hi, I need two small holes repaired in two internal wooden doors. I’m looking for a simple, tidy repair. It doesn’t need to be perfect, but the holes should be filled and the finish should blend reasonably well with the existing doors.

The internal bathroom door has a small damaged area. The damage area needed to be patched and the entire door needed to be repainted.

I have an internal painted door that previously had a hole in it. The hole was repaired using wood filler/wood dust, but the repair was not finished properly and the patched area is still visible. I’m looking for an experienced handyman/painter to professionally redo/finish the repair so that the surface is smooth, level and blends with the rest of the door as closely as possible, with no obvious patch marks. The existing repair may need to be sanded back, levelled/re-filled as required, primed and painted. I’m happy for the whole face of the door to be repainted if that will give a cleaner and more consistent finish, rather than just touching up the repaired area. Please include all materials, filler, primer and paint required in your offer. Photos attached showing the current condition. The main priority is the quality of the finish. I want the repaired area to be difficult to identify once completed. Please let me know whether you recommend repairing/refinishing the existing patch or another approach to achieve the best result.

We have recently installed new carpet, which is slightly thicker than the previous carpet. As a result, three internal doors are now rubbing against the carpet and need to be trimmed slightly at the bottom. Please provide separate quotes for: 1. Trimming/cutting the bottom of all three doors only; and 2. Removing, trimming and reinstalling all three doors. Please bring the necessary tools and ensure the doors are cut neatly without damaging the new carpet.

Door lever handle is not responding — the latch mechanism appears to be faulty and needs assessment and repair or replacement. Likely just the latch cartridge. Parts may need to be sourced (standard backset latch, available at Bunnings). Quick job for someone handy.

I have 2 internal door handles to install that have a latch lock, we had one installed already but it was a little difficult because the person didn’t have the right equipment to drill out the expanded space required for the size. The first 2 photos are the ones we want to replace and the last 3 photos are the new ones. Some help with touch ups after installation is required, I can provide the paint, just bring a paint brush. Note: some filler will be needed as the holes don’t line up, would be happy if you do your best, you can see the photos of the one we have installed already as an example
