The job was completed successfully but with a delay. Being without hot water in winter made this an urgent task. It would have been nice to have had the task completed on Tuesday (the day I posted the job) but since it was not confirmed until the middle of the day it would have been unreasonable to expect it done then. The fact that it was not done until Friday because of other work was, however, quite inconvenient and in my opinion this was unreasonable. It was disappointing that the job was accepted if it could not be done within a time frame appropriate for an urgent job. Replacing a thermostat is a fairly quick (around 30 minutes) and routine job for a plumber. If had known it would take that long I would have pursued other alternatives.

This solar hot water system has been disconnected about 15 years ago (plumbing and electrical disconnected) however looking into fully removing it off the roof and replacing the roof tiles which were taken off to hold the unit. about 4 which we have available. The Aquamax 250 litre tank was installed in June 2017 as part of an existing solar hot water system. The booster system has stopped heating the water and the current tank temperature is only about 30 degrees. It may only require a replacement thermostat but an accurate diagnosis may reveal other issues. The tempering valve was replaced in September 2018. It appears to be functioning OK but should be inspected. - Due date: Needs to be done on Tuesday, 31 May 2022
