I need a fridge moved upstairs in a townhouse. There are approximately 15 stairs with a turn halfway up, and the space is quite tight, so this is not a straightforward lift. Fridge dimensions: • Width: 90.5 cm • Height: 179 cm • Depth: 69 cm • Weight: 150kg approx. Staircase constraints: • Width at bottom stair (skirting to skirting): approx. 122 cm • Width between wall/window skirting and handrail at narrow section: approx. 79 cm • Turning platform midway: approx. 1 m x 1 m No additional transport required — fridge is already onsite and just needs to be moved upstairs. A fridge needs to be moved from a third‑level apartment to a single‑storey house located two streets away. There are 15 narrow steps from ground level to the second floor, followed by a further 7 wider steps up to the third floor where the fridge is located. There is no lift. When we moved in, the removalists were unable to use a trolley because they couldn’t manoeuvre it at the top of the first flight of stairs, so they had to carry the fridge up by hand. I believe the move would require two people using carrying straps to safely lift and transport the fridge.
