Description I'm looking for someone experienced in repairing or restoring engineered timber flooring. I have one floorboard beside a sliding door with significant finish wear from years of foot traffic. The damaged section is approximately 70 cm long × 8 cm wide. The board is structurally sound. I am NOT looking for the board to be replaced or for the whole floor to be sanded. I'm looking for someone who can: Repair the worn section. Sand only if necessary. Colour match and blend the repair with the surrounding floor. Apply a protective finish. The aim is not a perfect restoration. I'm preparing my home for sale and simply want the damaged area to blend with the surrounding floor so it no longer stands out. I can move furniture beforehand, keep the area clear and keep my dogs away while the finish cures. Please let me know: How you would repair it. We've recently removed some carpet near our staircase and uncovered hardwood floorboards (approx. 1000mm x 1040mm). Unlike the rest of the hallway, this section hasn't been sanded or polished. We're looking for someone to sand back the wood, stain and finish (lacquer/deal/protect) this small area so it blends in with the surrounding floorboards as closely as possible. We're aware the colour may not be a perfect match, and that's completely fine. Please note that you'll need to supply your own tools and materials, as we don't have any available.

I need assistance with laying down ram board to protect timber floors. This will be an hourly rate of $50 per hour I imagine will take 2-3 hours. Thursday evening or early Friday morning. I will provide the board and masking tape.
