Hi Airtaskers We are looking to put up a timber / wire balustrade / fence for a backyard deck. Deck material: Tiled deck over concrete slab. Deck size: 5.9m x 3.3m (approx) The fencing is to comprise of about 9 timber posts that are 90mm x 90mm. The timber posts are to be anchored into the concrete by a bracket which has a single 10mm x 100mm concrete screw. The wires for the fence are spaced at about 8mm up the post, with the post height being about 960mm. You will need to supply all tools for the installation of the posts (eg: drills, bits, hydraulic swager, wire cutter, etc). I will supply materials. Photos posted for context. I have a narrow courtyard area that I’d like to build a level deck for. Deck to be build on top of brick, and will include the need for a couple of stairs also as well as leveling posts (brick base slopes downwards). Measurements below. Main stretch: 5m x 1.2m Stair section: 1.5m x 1.2 m with a 0.8m drop Plants will go, so no need to try and build around them. Boards would need to be something that is finished (doesn’t require any additions sealing, finishing, etc) something that, when you’re done, I can immediately step on it and use, place courtyard table on, etc. I don’t want to have to think about it. Colour profile, very light/white hue/stain. Please only include quote for full job, inclusive of materials, labour and gst. I will not be responding to hourly rate quotes or anything piecemeal.

Remove and replace existing timber joists on deck. Timber joists provided but need to be cut down to size to fit. No need to put decking back on, only require replacement of existing joists. 10 joists in total.

3 x 7 deck extension and stain

We need to replace the two support posts underneath the deck of the boatshed. One of the posts has already broken, and the other is badly rusted and close to giving way. A temporary fix was done previously, but given their condition — especially being right by the water — both posts now need to be properly replaced in their original positions to ensure the structure remains safe and stable.

Nails on our deck are starting to left and be a hazard. Need them removed and replaced with outdoor rated deck screws. Don’t have time to do it myself as we have a newborn. In total you will need 1010 screws from my calculations as there is 24 rows of screws and 42 per deck edging.
