- Installing wall anchors and screwing window brackets

Blind fitting

Looking for someone experienced to install curtains in 3 upstairs bedrooms. I have IKEA VIDGA double-track curtain rails for each bedroom, with sheer curtains and blockout curtains to be installed. Bedroom widths: * Master bedroom – 3000mm * Bedroom 2 – 3150mm * Office – 2700mm Ceiling height: 2500mm Installation requirements: * Install the IKEA VIDGA double tracks directly onto the plasterboard ceiling * The tracks need to run over/in front of the cornice, as shown in the photos of my existing living room curtain installation below * Install additional ceiling brackets along the tracks for extra support, as the curtains are quite heavy * Ensure the tracks are securely fixed and able to support the combined weight of both curtains * Install and hang both the sheer and blockout curtains I already have the additional IKEA ceiling brackets. I’ll have all the curtain hooks placed on the curtains beforehand, so they will be ready to hang. I previously had the same VIDGA double-track system installed in my living room. The original number of brackets supplied with the tracks was not enough to support the weight of the curtains, and the track began to pull away from the ceiling. For this reason, I specifically want the additional brackets installed to provide adequate support. Please bring your own: * Drill and appropriate tools * Suitable plasterboard ceiling anchors/fixings capable of supporting the weight of the tracks and curtains Ladder, all curtain tracks, curtains, additional brackets and IKEA components will be supplied. Please refer to the living room curtain photos below for how I would like the tracks positioned and installed. Please only offer if you have experience securely mounting curtain tracks to plasterboard ceilings and have the appropriate tools and fixings.
Great experience! He hung curtains in three rooms and did an excellent job. The work was high quality, neat and professional, and he was very easy to communicate and work with. Really happy with the finished result and would definitely recommend him!
