I am looking for an experienced locksmith or lock installer to replace my current digital lock with a new Philips smart lock. The Job: Remove the existing digital lock from the front door. Install a new Philips DDL709-FVP-7HWS-B (Face ID & Video Intercom Mortise Lock). Setup and test to ensure the lock works perfectly (door closes smoothly, lock engages correctly). Important Notes: Mortise Installation: This is a push-pull mortise lock (NOT a simple deadbolt retrofit). It will likely require widening the existing mortise pocket or cutting new holes. Tools Required: You MUST have professional mortising tools (jig/router) and experience with metal/wood door cutting. Covering Old Holes: Since I am replacing an old digital lock, please advise if the new Philips lock body will cover the existing holes, or if a backing plate is needed.
