There are approximately 35 sq.m. of brick slips, on the West, North and East sides of the house. All brick slips are below window level, so a ladder is not needed. The brick slips are mounted on metal rails provided by Empire Bricks. Almost all the bricks have already been mounted and are in position, ready to be mortared. The task is as follows: 1. Cut about 30 brick slips to the required width and place them on the rails.The rest are already mounted. 2. Mortar all bricks using a mortar gun or bag, using mid-grey coloured mortar. The brick slips slide easily on the rails so take care not to move them as the mortar is applied. 3. Return the week after to acid wash.
