Grinding and polishing concrete

Grind top of concrete blockwork wall so it’s level with adjacent floor. Area approximately 400 x 100mm. The wall is an extension of the apartment party wall and may be structural but doubt the grinding will effect the structure at all. Any advice appreciated.
