I’m looking for someone local with a proper professional diagnostic scanner suitable for a Mercedes-Benz Vito CDI — preferably Mercedes STAR/Xentry or an equivalent professional-level scan tool. The van has an intermittent cutting-out problem, and I need someone who knows what they’re doing to come out, plug it in, run a proper diagnostic scan, read the fault codes and, if possible, check live data so we can work out what is causing the issue. At this stage I only need diagnostics and an explanation of the likely fault, not repairs. 📍 Preferably around the Maitland / Raymond Terrace area. 💰 My total budget for the whole diagnostic visit is $100–$150 maximum, including the call-out, scan and explanation of the results. I just purchased this 2005 Honda Jazz in Sydney today and brought it to Newcastle. I am looking for a qualified, independent mechanic to diagnose and repair two specific issues. It happens at idle, while braking, and significantly when accelerating from a stop (worsens when turning right). My BMW 328i has thrown the serpentine belt again, there is oil everywhere around the front of the engine, and it was hissing when I turned it off, so I suspect a major oil leak or a problem with the belt tensioner/pulleys and need it diagnosed before replacing the belt.
