I need someone to repair a damaged section of brick retaining wall at my home in St Ives. The affected section is approximately 3.1 metres long and 55 centimetres high. Please see the attached photos. The metal pole pictured is for a basketball hoop and doesn’t affect the repairs required. I’m happy with a basic, minimum viable repair. Please focus on the simplest, most economical approach that will make the affected section stable and functional, reusing sound existing bricks wherever practical. A basic finish is acceptable. Please explain your proposed approach and flag any footing or drainage issues that would prevent a straightforward repair. Please provide a total price covering labour, necessary materials, cleanup and removal of repair waste, clearly stating any assumptions or exclusions. Ideally, I’d like the repair completed before Wednesday, but on Wednesday 21 October is also suitable. Please confirm your earliest availability and include your relevant brickwork or retaining-wall repair experience.

replace bricks and repair brick fence post. This brick gate post had an automatic gate opener attached to it. The gate opener was ripped out and pulled out the brick that it was mounted to. this broken brick work needs to be replaced and new bricks mortared back into the wall. Possibly one or two bricks need replacing.

We’re have built an Alfresco extension in St Ives (NSW) with a builder. Our alfresco brick piers have cracked, the builder replaced some bricks, and now new cracks have now appeared a few days later. The builder is saying this is normal to Australian Building standards. We would like: An assessment of the alfresco brick piers and surrounding brickwork they have been responsbile for, including the cause and significance of the cracking. A general review of the brickwork quality to the alfresco area (and any other external brickwork you can reasonably inspect), including workmanship, tolerances, mortar joints, alignment, and any signs of movement or non‑compliance. We need a written report that: – Comments on likely causes of cracking and whether it is acceptable – Assesses compliance with the NCC (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards (especially AS 4773.2 and AS 3700) – References any applicable state “Guide to Standards and Tolerances” – Identifies any defects and recommends rectification. Please confirm your experience with residential brickwork defects and provide a fee estimate for inspection + report.

Two corners of the retaining wall need to be fixed. It’s about 40cm in height x 60cm width each. It was hit by car.
