Hello! I’m mid way though a DIY 3 door central locking install and have come into a problem, The actuators are in place and work, i’m just losing voltage as the cables make their way from the drivers door (works relatively well) to the passenger, to the rear (landcruiser troopy, long cable run), with only 8.5v reaching the rear door. although once the engine is running, i seem to be getting enough volts and the locks work fine. with a bit of chatgpt, i’ve found that a potential solve for this may be installing a relay? or grounding from the negative terminal on the battery instead of the car steel under drivers kick panel? I’m after a solve to this (either a relay, the grounding, or any solve you think might work)? budget does not include materials needed for the task 🫡 Cheers, Mia
