I have a faulty alternator on my 2004 Nissan Patrol ZD30 (3.0L diesel). The alternator is still under warranty and will be exchanged for a new one at Repco St Peters, Sydney, NSW. I need someone mechanically skilled who can: Remove the old alternator in the Repco St Peter’s car park, Hand it in at Repco for the warranty swap, Fit the new alternator back in. Requirements: Must have own tools. Must have experience working on Nissan Patrols or similar diesel engines. Prefer someone who can do the job on-site (in the car park). Location: Repco St Peter’s car park (SA) Date: Flexible – as soon as possible

I was in the process of replacing my interior rear view mirror (which connects to a rear view camera) and in the process cut a wire which has caused the engine to no longer start. The “fault with alternator” warning light is showing. Would appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide. The car is a 2014 VW Polo.

Current setup: - Renogy dual input DCDC 30A battery charger with MPPT https://au.renogy.com/dcc30s-12v-30a-dual-input-dc-dc-on-board-battery-charger-with-mppt/ - Renogy BT-2 Bluetooth module - Renogy Bluetooth Hub RJ45 module - Renogy 1000W pure sine wave inverter - Adventure Kings- 250W Folding Solar Panel - 100AH LiFePO4 12V Lithium Iron Phosphate battery - Fridge 60L drawer Kings Current setup appears to be unsafe and drains the second battery to below 10.9V.
