Hi, I’m looking for an experienced handyman, renovator or small builder to help modernise my studio apartment in Surry Hills. The apartment is structurally fine but needs updating. I’m looking for someone who can manage the whole renovation Scope of Work 1. Bedroom & Layout The current layout requires you to walk through the bedroom to reach the living room. I’d like advice and a quote to: Install sliding doors, cavity sliders, bi-fold or concertina doors to fully enclose the bedroom while keeping it feeling open. I’m happy to hear ideas if there’s a better solution. 2. Laundry / Wardrobe I’d like to convert the laundry into a combined laundry and wardrobe. Approximately: * 1/3 laundry (washing machine and storage) * 2/3 built-in wardrobe with: * Hanging space * Drawers * Shelving I’d appreciate someone who can design this to maximise storage. ⸻ 3. Bathroom Refresh I don’t think a full demolition is necessary. I’d like to: * Re-grout existing tiles * Install a new vanity * Install a new toilet * Replace shower screen with a modern frameless or semi-frameless screen * Refresh the bathroom without removing all the tiles if possible (tile paint, resurfacing or tiling over existing tiles if appropriate). I’m looking for a modern, clean, minimalist finish. ⸻ 4. Kitchen Replace the existing kitchen with a simple modern flat-pack kitchen. Happy to purchase cabinets from: * IKEA * Kaboodle (Bunnings) Need installation including: * Cabinets * Benchtop * Sink * Splashback if required * Finishing work ⸻ 5. Flooring Replace existing flooring throughout the apartment. Preference is: * Quality hybrid or laminate floating floorboards If the cost is reasonable I’d also consider: * Large-format tiles Ideally I’d like the flooring to continue through to the balcony for a seamless look. ⸻ 6. Painting Complete repaint of the apartment including: * Walls * Ceiling * Doors * Trims Looking for a fresh white modern finish.

I need someone to come service and repair my washing machine which is gushing water. The internal spring holding the door seal on has come off. This is the door seal on the inside of the washing machine, not on the door side. We have attempted to link the spring with two people and string but we can’t seat it on the correct groove.

Need the door boot seal replaced on my Simpson front load washing machine. The old seal is torn and completely destroyed so water leaks straight onto the floor, so it's out of action. Have removed it now fully. Machine details: Simpson EZI Sensor front loader, 8kg Model: SWF10832 PNC: 914900441 00 Type: R633421 The job is a straightforward boot seal swap: remove the outer spring clamp, release the inner clamp where the seal meets the drum, fit the new seal (lining up the alignment mark and refitting the two drain/tube connections), then reattach both clamps. Should take an experienced person under an hour. The part is genuine Simpson boot seal, part number 807120001 (matches PNC 914900441). Please let me know in your quote whether you'll: Supply the seal yourself, or Fit one I've already bought Cheers!

Fisher & Paykel WashSmart The machine stopped before the rinse stage because it couldn’t fill with water. It indicates “TAP” on the screen. Tried to restart with a new load, there is an humming sound but can’t hear the water filling up the drum. Filter is clean.

Machine Details - Fisher & Paykel Series 9 Active Intelligence, Steam Care - 11 kg front-load washer Issue There is visible staining mainly around: - the lower fold/curve of the rubber gasket - inner rim of the door seal The rubber itself still appears structurally intact, so I’m looking for a thorough deep clean and not considering full gasket replacement. A. Scope of Work 1. Deep clean and disinfect the rubber door seal/gasket 2. Remove visible stain and odor buildup 3. Clean inside gasket folds thoroughly 4. Wipe down surrounding drum rim/door area 5. Run a maintenance/drum clean cycle if required B. Notes 1. Prefer someone experienced with front-load washer cleaning 2.
