Fabric Provided I’m looking for an experienced seamstress/upholsterer to create a custom removable cover for my dog’s bed. The bed is from Barney Beds (bolster-style with raised sides), and I will provide a linen sheet to be used as the fabric. Scope: • Create a fitted cover to suit the full bed (base + bolsters) • Include a durable zipper for easy removal • Ensure a snug, tailored fit (similar to original cover) • Fabric will be supplied (linen sheet) Details: • Bed size: – 94x74 Medium Barney Bed] • we can provide the existing cover as a template • Located in Sydney – flexible on drop-off/pick-up Looking for: • Someone with experience in upholstery, cushion covers, or similar work • High attention to detail (important for fit and finish) • Ability to advise on best zipper placement and durability Bonus (not essential): • Experience with pet products or heavy-use fabrics Happy to discuss price based on experience and quality. Need 6 caravan mattress covers repaired. We can drop them to you. Actually the task is even simpler that that! It’s not the entire mattress. It’s sewing 1 piece of fabric onto the original vinyl covers. I’ll provide you the new fabric, zips, original vinyl covers, and paper pattern. The job requires you to have an upholstery type sewing machine or a robust sewing machine with very strong needles that can sew to sew thru vinyl. I started the job. My mum helped me but our sewing machines aren’t up to the task, and we’ve run out of time. We can bring you the covers and fabric etc, give you an overview of what is required, and arrange collection. Or if you’d like a drive to North Freo where we are I’d pay you an additional travel fee to collect.

To source all material required, i.e., order it from a supplier, cut and sew to make 200 Royal Navy blue oblongs from soft cotton material. The finished product needs to measure 34 cm x 25cm. The Creative Scope: Technical Construction: High-level sewing and garment construction for production-ready pieces. Pattern Making: Drafting, grading, and manipulating patterns from sketches or draped concepts. Experimental Development: Collaborating on "first-run" samples and troubleshooting construction issues for non-traditional designs. Fit & Finish: Performing precision tailoring and ensuring every garment meets our high-spec aesthetic. Growth & Opportunity: This is a fluid, experimental role. You won't just be executing someone else's vision; you’ll be an integral part of the design-to-production pipeline. For the right person, this role has the potential to evolve into Lead Technical Designer or Head of Production. Requirements: Advanced Technical Skills: Must be proficient with industrial machines (overlockers, straight stitch, etc.) and various fabric types. Pattern Mastery: Ability to create accurate patterns from scratch and adjust existing ones. Creative Problem Solver: You enjoy "hacking" a design to make it more functional or visually striking. Portfolio/Samples: You must be able to demonstrate previous garment construction or pattern work.
