Price negotiable! I am looking to modernize the lighting in my apartment. The current setup consists of 17 low-voltage (12V) halogen fixtures powered by hidden step-down transformers. I would like to convert the entire system to 120V Line Voltage to support standard LED bulbs and future smart home tech. Locate and Bypass Transformers: Identify and remove/bypass all existing 12V transformers (approx. 17 lights total). Convert to 120V: Wire the existing light points directly to 120V house power. Install GU10 Sockets: Replace the current raw wire/halogen connectors with standard GU10 lamp holders at all 17 locations. Switch Check: In the Living/Bedroom (7 lights), please ensure the wall switches are simple On/Off toggles (no dimmers). In the Kitchen/Dining (10 lights), please install an LED-compatible dimmer switch. Testing: Verify all 17 points are receiving stable 120V power. Notes: I will provide the bulbs myself once the sockets are installed. Please specify if you anticipate needing to cut drywall for transformer access or if you can work through the existing fixture holes.

House power intermittently trips off at the main switch/inverter supply, causing a full blackout. When the main switch is turned back on, electricity does not restore until all other switches are turned off and then back on one by one. The inverter AC isolator also trips off randomly from time to time. Please inspect the main switchboard, inverter supply, AC isolator, wiring, and all solar connections for a possible faulty breaker, loose connection, overload, earth fault, or inverter issue. Photos attached show the switchboard and inverter setup. Need a fault finding, safety check, and repair. Thanks

Hi there, I’m looking for a licensed electrician to install a dedicated 32A EV charging circuit in my garage for a Tesla Mobile Connector. The switchboard is located inside the garage, with an estimated cable run of approximately 15m to the installation point. ⸻ Scope of Works • Supply and install 1 × 32A 5-pin industrial switched socket outlet (IP66 rated, IEC 60309) • To be wired for single-phase use only (L1 + N + E) • Socket must be clearly labelled: “EV Charging – Single Phase 32A Only” • 3-pin sockets are not acceptable • Install a dedicated 32A final subcircuit from the existing switchboard • Use minimum 6mm² copper cable • Cable size must comply with AS/NZS 3000 voltage drop requirements (<3%), and increase cable size if required • Supply and install 1 × 32A 30mA Type A RCBO at the switchboard • Install socket on the left wall of the garage at approximately 1.0–1.2m height for easy access • Ensure all cabling is neatly installed and mechanically protected where required • Test, commission and verify the installation ⸻ Requirements • Must be a licensed electrician (VIC) • Installation must comply with: • AS/NZS 3000:2018 (including EV charging requirements) • Victorian Service & Installation Rules (SIRs) • Must provide Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES) upon completion ⸻ Notes • Installation is for Tesla Mobile Connector (single-phase 32A / ~7.4kW) • Quote must include ALL costs: • Labour • Materials • RCBO • Socket • Compliance certificate • Any standard fees • Installation to ensure minimal wall penetration / cable route disruption where possible, and a clean finish ⸻ Please confirm in your quote Please confirm the following clearly: 1.
