Removals Jobs in Avalon NSW

Removal jobs are one of the most popular and profitable ways to earn money on Airtasker. From small apartment moves to office relocations, there’s consistent demand across Australia, and Taskers with the right skills, equipment, and reliability can build a steady income stream. Whether you’re looking to take on weekend jobs or scale up into a full-time operation, removals offer strong earning potential and plenty of repeat opportunities.

House Removals

Helping people move houses is one of the most common removalist jobs on Airtasker. These tasks can range from moving a single bedroom’s worth of furniture to transporting the entire contents of a large home. Jobs often include loading and unloading heavy items like fridges, washing machines, lounges, and beds, then safely transporting them to the new property. Because these moves usually take several hours, Taskers can earn anywhere from a few hundred dollars to well over $1,000 per job, especially when long distances are involved. If you’re punctual, organised, and careful with customers’ belongings, you’ll quickly build up reviews and gain more regular work.

Furniture Removals

Many customers post tasks specifically for moving bulky or tricky furniture items. This could involve transporting a new sofa from a store, helping someone move a dining table between suburbs, or relocating office furniture for a business. Some of these jobs are single-item moves that can be completed in under an hour, while others involve multiple trips or disassembly and reassembly. Furniture removals are a great way for Taskers to fill their schedules between larger jobs, with quick payouts that can add up significantly over a week. Having tools like moving straps, trolleys, and protective blankets can also help you stand out and charge higher rates.

Small Removals

Not every move involves a truckload of items. Small removals, such as helping someone relocate the contents of a studio apartment, transporting boxes into storage, or delivering a few key pieces of furniture, are highly in demand on Airtasker. These jobs often suit Taskers with a ute, van, or trailer who want to make extra money without the pressure of handling full-scale house moves. Because small removals are more flexible and can be easier to slot into your day, they’re a reliable way to generate consistent income while keeping travel time manageable.

Office and Business Relocations

In major cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, businesses often use Airtasker to find reliable Taskers to handle office moves. These jobs can involve moving desks, filing cabinets, IT equipment, and chairs, as well as ensuring everything is set up correctly in the new space. Office moves are usually scheduled outside regular work hours, such as evenings or weekends, which means Taskers can earn premium rates. If you’re efficient, careful, and can manage tasks with minimal disruption, these jobs can lead to repeat bookings from corporate clients or property managers.

Interstate and Long-distance Moves

While many removal jobs happen within the same city, some customers require assistance with long-distance or interstate relocations. These tasks pay significantly more due to travel time, logistics, and the level of trust involved. Taskers with a truck or large van who are comfortable with long drives can make thousands of dollars from a single booking. By providing clear communication, secure packing, and reliable delivery, you can build a reputation that attracts more high-value jobs.

Tips to increase your removals income

To maximise your earnings on removal jobs on Airtasker, it’s important to come well-prepared. Bringing the right equipment, such as dollies, blankets, ropes, and a reliable vehicle, shows professionalism and allows you to charge more. Customers often pay extra for bundled services like furniture disassembly, packing assistance, or rubbish removal after a move. Taking clear photos of past jobs and adding them to your profile can help you stand out, while focusing on punctuality, careful handling, and friendly communication will earn you 5-star reviews that lead to repeat bookings. Finally, consider specialising in niches like eco-friendly packing materials or offering ongoing support for property managers and Airbnb hosts. These strategies will help you secure more tasks, grow your reputation, and steadily increase your income as a trusted removal job Tasker.
