Looking for event staff I can trust to set up high tea events for me on a casual ongoing basis. Includes: Picking up our van that will be packed with the tableware and catering from Normanhurst (ideally you will be local) - Driving the van to the event location (on weekends mainly homes and sometimes hired venues). On weekdays it is mostly corporate businesses Unpacking van and carrying/trolleying (where possible) it to the event space Setting the tables (the client set the tables/chairs up in position prior to arrival) with tablecloths, plates, teacups, cutlery, napkins, cake stands, teapots, milk/sugar bowls and sometimes champagne flutes and tumblers Setting out the catering on cake stands prior to guest arrivals, filling teapots with boiling water, filling jam and cream bowls and milk and sugar bowls Warming the savoury items in the client's oven (occasionally using our air-fryer if there is no oven). Timing it so that the hot food is ready as the guests are seated Departing event once guests arrive and returning 3 hours later to pack everything back into the boxes and van and return it to me in Normanhurst (you do not have to wash everything but I do request that the teapots, jam and cream bowls and milk and sugar bowls are washed prior to repacking otherwise they make a big mess). - On occasion the client may pay to have you be present for the entire event as a "waiter". There isn't really much to do in this circumstance other than refilling teapots and topping up drinks. If this is the case you would be reimbursed for the additional time onsite. - Set up usually takes 2hrs and pack down 1hr for an average size event of 30 pax. You will need to be: RELIABLE Fit and able to carry boxes of tableware/catering Well presented Have excellent customer service skills Event/hospitality experience is a bonus 2-6 weeks notice for bookings. Can train 7/8 and 14/15 Feb Casual/ad hoc requirement. $35ph for set up/pack down and $20ph for the 3hr wait

I’m hosting a private farewell party at my home in Bondi and am looking for an experienced cocktail maker/bartender to run a small pop-up cocktail bar for the evening. Baby Shower Event Help Needed – Set Up, Service & Pack Down Looking for 1–2 reliable and friendly people to help with a small baby shower at a private home. The event will be relaxed and low-key, with around 35 guests. Sat Feb 21. Needed from 1pm-6pm (event is 2-5pm) Tasks will include: Helping with set-up on the day (e.g. putting ice in buckets, setting up the bar area, arranging platters) Serving food (walking platters around) Pouring and serving drinks at the bar Light hosting support during the event (keeping things tidy, refilling ice/drinks as needed) Pack-down and clean-up afterwards, including: Clearing rubbish Putting trestle tables away Loading glassware and dishes into the dishwasher Wiping down benches and surfaces General tidy of the event area Details: Event size: approx. 35 people Location: private club house Duration: approx. 5 hours (happy to confirm exact timing) All food and drinks will be provided — no cooking required Ideal for someone who: Has experience with events, hospitality, or parties Is friendly, proactive, and comfortable interacting with guests Is happy to help wherever needed on the day Payment - around $40pp per hour
