We’re looking for a friendly, proactive and organised event assistant to help at our celebration at our home in Hunters Hill on Saturday 26 September. It will be a daytime garden/home celebration with approximately 40 adults and 25 young children, with yum cha-style food, a dessert table and drinks station. We already have catering/styling organised — we’re looking for someone to help keep everything running smoothly and tidy throughout the event. Tasks will include: * Clearing used plates, cups and rubbish throughout the event * Taking dirty dishes to the designated clearing/kitchen area * Changing bin liners and taking rubbish to the outdoor bins before they become full * Keeping the kitchen/food area tidy * Replenishing plates, napkins, cutlery, water etc. * Helping keep the buffet and drinks areas organised * Light assistance to the chef/caterer if required * Resetting/moving chairs as guests move around * Checking the guest bathroom periodically and restocking if needed * Helping with small unexpected jobs that come up during the party * Light tidy-up at the end No cooking or formal table service required. We’re looking for someone who has hospitality, events, catering or waitstaff experience and is comfortable noticing what needs to be done without needing constant direction. Location: Hunters Hill, Sydney Date: Saturday 26 September 2026 Approx. time: 11:30am–4:30pm Duration: Approximately 5 hours Budget: Please send through your hourly rate/offer and relevant experience. Details: * 📍 Location: Mascot (residential apartment) * 🗓️ Date: Thursday, 24 December 2026 * ⏰ Duration: Approximately 3–4 hours in the evening (exact start time to be confirmed, roughly 5pm - 8pm) * 👥 Around 15-20 guests (exact number to be confirmed) * 🍸 Making only 2–3 different cocktails throughout the event * 🥃 I’ll provide all of the alcohol and ingredients I’m after someone who is friendly, efficient, and experienced making cocktails for small private events. If you’ve got your own basic bar tools (shaker, jigger, strainer, etc.), that’s a bonus.
