What I need: I'm looking for a reliable and helpful individual to assist with a corporate event at Stone & Chalk, Sydney, on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. Your main duties will involve setting up the food and drinks table, serving beverages to guests, and assisting with the pack-up after the event. Tasks include: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Event Setup for Food & Refreshments Setting up the drinks station (e.g., arranging bottles, glasses, ice buckets). Ensuring the drinks table is neat and visually appealing. Food delivery will arrive - set away the food in the back 5:30 PM - 5:50 PM: Event Service for Refreshments Serving drinks to guests (e.g., serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages). 6:15 PM - 6:45 PM: Event Setup for Food and Drinks Arrangement and presentation of food on platters/serving dishes. Keeping the food and drinks area tidy and replenished as needed. 6:45 PM - 7:30PM: Event Service for Food & Drinks Serving drinks to guests (e.g., serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages). Assisting guests with any requests related to food or beverages. 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Event Pack Up Clearing away empty platters, bottles, and used glasses. Assisting with general tidying of the event space. Bagging up rubbish and preparing items for removal. What's important to me: Punctual and reliable: You must be on time for the 4:30 PM start. Presentable and professional: You'll be interacting with event guests. Proactive and helpful: Ability to anticipate needs and assist without constant direction. Must hold a valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate. This is essential for serving alcoholic beverages. Experience in hospitality/events is a bonus but not essential if you are keen and willing to learn. Wedding of 160 guests, in an open paddock on private property in Marong, Victoria. October 4th 2025. Open Fire / Charcoal Cooking Meat & Vegetables Spit cooking experience - Lamb, Pig & Chicken Looking for an experienced even chef (or three) for a 160 person wedding. We are looking to have 3- 4 spits - lamb, pig & chicken - so experience cooking meat on a spit is essential. Vegetables cooked on open fire / BBQ also needed. Cooking / carving will be done on site, in the open (but covered) in front of guests. There will be cold sides prepared by an outside catering company & there will be some bar/wait staff, although, guests will serve themselves, with no set eating time. All meat, vegetables, spit & cooking equipment & necessary supplies will be provided. $65 an hour, negotiable. Willing to discuss compensation for travel.
