We are looking for an experienced roofer or builder to repair and replace the metal roof over our side porch entrance. The existing roof is Colorbond and measures approximately 3.0 m x 1.68 m, including the gutters. The metal roofing is worn and currently leaking, so it needs to be fully removed and replaced. The guttering around this section should also be replaced and connected into the existing downpipe. The flashing where the roof connects to the wall will likely also need to be replaced to ensure a proper watertight seal. An important part of this job is that the width of the carport needs to be reduced by approximately 15 cm, as it currently oversteps into our neighbour’s boundary. This means that once the existing metal roofing and gutters are removed, the supporting timber structure will need to be cut back by about 15 cm before the new roof and gutters are installed. The finished roof must be watertight and ensure that all water drains correctly into the gutter and down the existing downpipe. To match the current gutters and downpipes on the house, all new materials should be Colorbond in the “Deep Ocean” colour.
