I’m looking for an experienced barista who can come to my home in Adelaide and teach me coffee making and latte art hands-on. I have a Breville Barista Touch Espresso at home. I’m a beginner and would like to learn how to use my machine properly and improve my coffee-making skills. I’d particularly like to learn: * How to make a good espresso and adjust the grind * How to properly steam and texture milk * How to create smooth microfoam * I’d like to learn different latte art designs, including heart, tulip and rosetta. * Proper pouring techniques and how to control the milk * Tips for making café-style coffee at home I’m looking for one-on-one, hands-on training, rather than just watching someone demonstrate. I’d like to practise myself while being guided step by step. I’m looking for someone who is experienced, patient and good at teaching beginners. Please let me know your hourly rate and availability. We are hosting a private garden party/baby shower at a private residence in Windsor Gardens on Sunday 13 September, and are looking for a friendly, organised person to assist with beverage service and our dessert table. Approximately 70–80 guests, with a café-style setup. The role includes: Beverage orders Take verbal orders from guests at the café/order window Clearly write orders on provided dockets Clarify requests where needed Beverage service Retrieve bottled drinks, wine and beer from the designated fridge/bar Serve beverages to guests Pour wine/prosecco where required Serve juices Keep the beverage area tidy and stocked Dessert table Keep the dessert display neat and presentable Replenish cannoli, pastries, cake and other desserts as required Keep serving utensils/trays tidy Monitor stock and alert us if anything is running low Help maintain a clean, hygienic display No cocktail preparation or formal bartending is required. We are looking for someone friendly, organised, reliable and comfortable interacting with guests. Hospitality/event experience is preferred but not essential. We are hosting a private garden party/baby shower at a private residence in Windsor Gardens on Sunday 13 September, and are looking for someone friendly and confident to run our small café-style coffee & tea station for approximately 3.5 hours. The role: Taking verbal coffee/tea orders from guests and preparing and serving the drinks. We will be serving basic café-style drinks including: Espresso / short black Long black Latte Cappuccino Flat white Hot chocolate Tea The coffee setup: You will be using two DeLonghi Magnifica automatic coffee machines, which grind the beans and dispense the espresso automatically. You will NOT need to manually dose, tamp or extract espresso shots. The role therefore primarily involves: Taking guests' orders Operating the automatic coffee machines Heating/frothing milk Preparing the requested beverages Serving drinks to guests Keeping the coffee station clean and tidy throughout the event You do not need to be a professional barista, but you should be comfortable making basic café-style coffee and know the difference between drinks such as a latte, cappuccino, flat white etc. We will provide all coffee, milk, tea, cups, equipment and supplies. Event: Private garden party / baby shower Location: Windsor Gardens, SA Date: Sunday 13 September Time: 1:30pm-5pm. Guests: Approximately 70–80 Budget: $120-$150 Cash. This is a relaxed private event rather than a commercial café environment. We're looking for someone personable, reliable and comfortable interacting with guests.
