Title: Help disassemble IKEA SONGESAND bed – headboard stuck Description: I need help partially disassembling an IKEA SONGESAND double bed (model/article number 203.725.13). I only need to remove the headboard. I would preferably like to leave the footboard and the two side rails attached. I have already removed: * Mattress and bed slats * SKORVA centre support beam * Centre/support braces I am now stuck at the connections between the side rails and the headboard. The bed uses large circular metal cam/fixing mechanisms with a hex/Allen key fitting. One side has loosened slightly and there is now a small gap between the side rail and headboard, but it will not release completely. The fixing on the other side does not seem to turn, and I don’t want to force it and damage the particleboard. I have a metric Allen/hex key set available. Looking for someone familiar with IKEA furniture/bed assembly who can safely remove the headboard without damaging the bed. Should hopefully be a quick job for someone experienced. I can provide photos of the current condition.

I’m looking for one reliable, handy person to help move and swap furniture between a few rooms, and do some assembly work. Details: • Start: 9:00am, Wednesday 12th November • Estimate: Around 2-3 hours of work, but happy to pay hourly if it runs longer • Paid hourly What’s involved: • Moving furniture out of two bedrooms and swapping them around • Disassembling and reassembling a desk and a single bed • Assembling a new queen bed (flat-pack, instructions provided) • Moving a heavy memory foam mattress from upstairs to downstairs, and a single bed from downstairs to upstairs • Moving/sliding a big heavy IKEA wardrobe across a room (my husband will help) • Installing a couple of hanging bars inside a built-in wardrobe • Hanging some framed pictures on the walls (at the same height with a level) and some curtains • A few other bits and pieces may come up along the way • Please bring your own tools (drill, screwdriver, Allen keys, etc). We thought that we’d be able to put this dressing table together but turns out we can’t :( Someone with experience in putting Flat Pack stuff together (i.e Bunnings stuff, Ikea stuff) should hopefully be able to put this together without too much fuss. Put your hand up if you reckon you can do it!
