I need an experienced flat-pack assembler and handyman to build and permanently install four IKEA Billy bookcases in a hallway niche. Precision is required as doors need aligning. The Job: Assemble 4 x standard IKEA Billy Bookcases (80x28x202 cm). Assemble and attach 4 x Billy Height Extension units (80x28x35 cm) to the top. Install and precisely align 8 x Oxberg doors (40x192 cm) to the main units. Crucial Step: Cut and remove a 3.2-metre section of existing timber skirting board from the wall niche so the bookcases can sit 100% flush against the plasterboard. Slide the assembled units into the 320 cm wide niche (it will be an exact, tight fit). The 5 cm wall return on the right side must be factored in for the final door hinge clearance. Securely anchor all four bookcases to the wall studs to prevent tipping. Ensure all units are perfectly levelled and all doors are aligned with even gaps. Requirements: You must bring your own tools (including an oscillating multi-tool for the skirting board cut, cordless drill, stud finder, and spirit level). You must supply the appropriate wall anchors/screws for securing the units to the wall. Please place all cardboard packaging neatly to the side (I will dispose of it).
