Furniture assembler wanted, office in Rhodes, NSW, this Friday 14 August, 2pm start I need somebody experienced to assemble a new office desk and chair setup, plus the accessories that go with it. The furniture is white, it is expensive, and it needs to be put together with care. No scratches, no marks, no over-tightened screws. I am seeking a quote to assemble and secure an IKEA PLATSA wardrobe system at our renovation site in Annandale, ideally on 24 August or sometime during that week. The scope includes assembly of the base units, overhead cupboards and wall-mounted cupboards, followed by fixing them to a masonry wall. Our builder will install the filler panels separately so the wardrobe has a built-in finish. The configuration is shown in the attached IKEA design-tool image. It includes six frames and doors, internal shelving, wire baskets, hanging rails and soft-close hinges. While the builder retains control of the site, all structural work is complete and only cosmetic fit-out works remain. There will be clear access from site entry to the room; the room will be empty apart from the IKEA boxes, which will remain unopened. I have a Rogue Woodville curve LTG treadmill weighing approx 133kg (all parts together) arriving by noon tomorrow (31/07) by courier who will leave it outside the front door of my semi detached property. I need it unpackaged moved upstairs to a bedroom and assembled. I was quoted by gym equipment specialist that the job would take 2 hours for two men for the whole process including assembly, I would have accepted but they are only available late next week and I don’t want the box exposed outside in the rain. No special tools required as it’s provided in the package and I have additional tools if needed. The hard part will be moving it up the stairs without damaging the property, not the assembly. The stairs are close to the front door but narrow and the bedroom is just past the stairs so not a lot of distance overall. I will post a video showing the path. Availability must be latest 30/07 (Friday) so do not quote if you can only do it next week or something.

Title: Help disassemble IKEA SONGESAND bed – headboard stuck Description: I need help partially disassembling an IKEA SONGESAND double bed (model/article number 203.725.13). I only need to remove the headboard. I would preferably like to leave the footboard and the two side rails attached. I have already removed: * Mattress and bed slats * SKORVA centre support beam * Centre/support braces I am now stuck at the connections between the side rails and the headboard. The bed uses large circular metal cam/fixing mechanisms with a hex/Allen key fitting. One side has loosened slightly and there is now a small gap between the side rail and headboard, but it will not release completely. The fixing on the other side does not seem to turn, and I don’t want to force it and damage the particleboard. I have a metric Allen/hex key set available. Looking for someone familiar with IKEA furniture/bed assembly who can safely remove the headboard without damaging the bed. Should hopefully be a quick job for someone experienced. I can provide photos of the current condition.
