Sewing machine isn’t sewing correctly, and the machine makes a crunching sound when sewing fabric. I’ve rethreaded, cleaned, switched needles, thread, fabric, etc and nothing has helped.

I need to get some zippers sewn on fabric. Im creating 9 covers for a round prop using spandex. I have the spandex and just need zippers sewn onto the fabric so it can enclose the prop.
