Overview We’re seeking a photographer and potentially a producer to document a day of real interactions inside a handful of local small businesses. The goal is to capture natural, unstaged moments between business owners, employees, and customers — focusing on atmosphere, human connection, and everyday work. This is not a posed or traditional commercial shoot. We are looking for a documentary / photojournalistic approach that feels honest, observational, and story-driven. Responsibilities Coordinate with local businesses for a few hours of shoot in one day. Photograph multiple small businesses over the course of one day Capture candid interactions between owners, staff, and customers Work discreetly and respectfully in active business environments Adapt quickly to different spaces, lighting conditions, and moments Collaborate with a light shot outline while allowing moments to unfold naturally Coordinate on-site flow if acting in a producer capacity (timing, transitions, basic logistics) Skills & Experience Strong portfolio demonstrating documentary, lifestyle, or editorial photography Experience shooting real people in real environments (not staged sets) Ability to build quick rapport with subjects to help them feel comfortable Confident working independently in small towns or unfamiliar locations Comfortable capturing motion, emotion, and environmental details Professional, low-ego, and adaptable on site Usage & Legal Images will be used across brand website, social media, and marketing channels All photographed individuals will be asked to sign model release forms Our legal team will provide all necessary paperwork; photographer may assist in light coordination of releases on site Final images should be delivered with full usage rights for marketing purposes
