We have just had slate removed and grinded floor. we are now told a 2-3mm screed is required to level floor. We built on some years ago and where foundation(s) meet are not level. Our house has a sunken lounge and walls around sunken lounge are built from lowest point (lounge level). The concrete at top of 'sunken' section is not straight (does not line up with skirts) leaving gaps (some large holes 80mm x 25mm). We are seeking an experienced screeder who can get us through these problems so we can get our 'hybrid' floor laid. approx 50m2.

I have a bathroom I am going to strip and then want to remove the current screed so we can move the bathroom around. In Particular we are going to move the shower to where the current hand basin is. It will also require concrete cutting and new plumbing. I have located some people who might be doing that part of the job. This is just for the screed once the new plumbing is put in and the floor re-concreted. Th bathroom is 1.8 x 2.7m and I have drawn up the end design . This link shows three bathrooms. I have no idea what this should cost me. I am told by people who have had this done a few years back that it was round $45 an hour and that if the floor is ready for screed then it shouldn't take more than 4 hours to complete for a professional. But I don't know. I am going to put an estimated budget of $300. Hopefully that is reasonable
