I have always wanted to learn how to sow but never got around to it. I have a basic sowing machine that I have used once or twice. Would like to learn how to make tops and skirts, just clothes in general. Happy to pay $25 an hour (if I wasn’t a student and so broke I would offer more)

I have a large stash of fabric and patterns waiting for me to find the time to work on them so I'm looking for a seamstress to help me make a dent in the pile and finally get some pieces to wear. I would provide all fabric and things like buttons or zips or elastic as required, just looking for someone with their own sewing machine and some skills as a seamstress to cut patterns and put them together as well as provide some expertise on fit and design. I realise the rate may vary by project, really looking to connect and discuss projects and pricing for each. I guess I'm seeking an efficient rate given the prospect of multiple ongoing projects. Happy to drop off fabric and supplies to a location or have you come round to discuss, or can have a quick call over zoom to discuss. Timeline is very flexible, I'm wanting to make a sizeable dent in the project list by November (maybe at least 3-5 projects completed). Some patterns may need toilles/samples done to check sizing in advance, Happy to provide fabric for that.

I'm looking for an experienced seamstress or tailor to reinforce the seat of a two pairs of dress trousers. The fabric is quite thin, and I'd like an additional layer of lightweight, durable fabric sewn inside the seat area to help prevent wear and extend the life of the trousers. I'd like the reinforcement to be as discreet as possible, with no visible stitching or change to the outside appearance. I'm looking for someone with experience altering quality garments and who can recommend a suitable reinforcement fabric if needed. Please let me know: Your experience with similar work. I am keen to have some old clothes duplicated in new fabrics. If we work well together there is strong likelihood of ongoing work including general mending and dressmaking. The initial garment will be taking a pair of pants Elizabeth Petite Belted Tapered Pants Forever New (size tbd) purchasing and duplicating these in a new fabric (I believe it is a viscose blend). If this goes well I will purchase multiples. Estimating total cost including consultation time fabric purchase sewing and tailoring to be $170.

The dress is a long, pleated style with an inner lining, so experience with pleating and structured garments is highly preferred. This project is for a not-for-profit cultural dance group, so we are mindful of cost. We’re looking to start with one piece as a test run, ideally completed as soon as possible. Hi! I’m looking for a seamstress or clothing maker who can help create two custom tops by combining a flannel shirt and a graphic t-shirt. I’ve inserted photos of the inspo. I’ve already purchased the shirts, and they are currently coming in the mail. I’m mainly looking for someone experienced who can confirm the designs are possible and give a quote to complete them. Top 1: Use a flannel shirt for the sleeves and sides Use the graphic t-shirt for the centre/front panel Top 2: Mostly a flannel shirt Replace the back panel of the flannel with the graphic t-shirt design The goal is to keep the graphic visible while combining it with the flannel.
