I am looking for a skilled, patient seamstress or tailor to come to my home for a 2.5 to 3-hour session. I have my own sewing machine and a pile of clothes that need altering. I know the basics of sewing, but I need professional help to get my confidence up. Here is what we will do together: * Do It For Me: There are a few precious, important pieces of clothing that I am too scared to ruin. I would love for you to alter these while I watch and learn your techniques. * Teach Me: For the rest of the session, I want you to hold my hand and guide me while I alter the easier pieces on my own machine. Basically, I need you to train me and build my confidence! Requirements: * Must have real experience with clothing alterations. * Patient, encouraging, and good at explaining things. * Happy to travel to my house and use my machine. I have a very basic Singer Start 1306 sewing machine that’s 1.5yrs old. Had been working fine until recently, now the needle snaps frequently (just on thin cotton fabrics) and the thread often jams up, I’m not sure if it’s a tension issue or something. Would like someone to take a look, noting the machine was only bought for $120 new so I’m not looking to spend a great deal on this.

I’ve already purchased the shirts, and they are currently coming in the mail. I’m mainly looking for someone experienced who can confirm the designs are possible and give a quote to complete them. Top 1: Use a flannel shirt for the sleeves and sides Use the graphic t-shirt for the centre/front panel Top 2: Mostly a flannel shirt Replace the back panel of the flannel with the graphic t-shirt design The goal is to keep the graphic visible while combining it with the flannel. Both the sizes should be a 3xl.
