What does a mechanic service usually include?
Mechanics are skilled in nearly all aspects of keeping your car maintained, serviced, and repaired, so it’s roadworthy and efficient to run. The exact process during your service will depend on how your mechanic prefers to work and the type of tasks they’re doing, like:
Minor service
This is the most basic engine service a mechanic provides, but it can make a huge difference in whether or not your car can operate efficiently. Then checking fluid levels, windscreen wipers, windows, mirrors, steering, suspension, radiator, fan belts, and tyre pressure. Roadworthy certificate or pink slip
A roadworthy certificate or pink slip is a specific vehicle check that’s conducted to ensure your car is in a roadworthy condition and can be operated safely. In some states, it’s required when selling a car or may be required each year to confirm your vehicle is safe for registration purposes. A mechanic will check off a list of predetermined items to verify that your car meets a minimum safety standard set out by your state government. Hi This is a bit of an unusual one. I am a disabled person & I ride a recumbent trike. I have a LWB Caddy Cargo Van that I want to use to transport the trike around Melbourne, Victoria, & beyond. The trike fits well & I have wheel chair ramps I can use to roll it up & into the van. I dont have the strength to do this & have decided the best way would be to install a small boat winch (electric, with remote) on the cabin wall & use this to winch the trike in. It is 2m long & weighs 35kg. I am looking for someone who would love to do a rewarding project like this, figure out exactly how it would work & then wire, install, test etc. I am yet to buy the winch but have done research of plenty. If this is of interest, please let me know.
