The internal spring for the lock mechanism seems to be loose/worn down. The outside handle is loose and we can only lock the door by pulling it up into its original position. We cannot lock the door from the inside. (I removed face plate to get a better look. It has been put back in place now)

Our toddler can now open out front door so we are wanting a deadbolt installed - with the lock installed higher up the door out of reach
