Hi, I am wanting to replace the current door separating our carport and side, with a hardwood door I have. The hardwood door needs to have a lock installed on the right side of the door. There are scars from the previous lock (on the left hand side) which ideally, are filled. Unfortunately the hardwood door is 10mm narrower than the existing door, so the frame either needs to be shimmed or reframed. Note, the hardwood door is slightly heavier than the existing door, so must be adequately supported. I have attached images of the hardwood door (painted white), the existing door (painted monument), the lock hardware and the frame. To clarify, I have the hardwood door, and all the lock hardware.
