I’m looking to get a labour quote for a brick retaining wall at the front of my place with a set of stairs centred through the middle. I’m after a simple brick look, either a traditional old recycled brick look or a bagged and painted white look. The wall and stair combinations is roughly 11 metres long and about 700 mm high. I’ll purchase all materials for the project including bricks, drainage gravel, perforated pipe etc.

We are excavating our large back yard to level this out in preparation for a pool installation. We want to replace some existing low sleeper wall (10m x 400mm high) and then extend this along the line of the new excavation (approx 10m per side). The retaining wall will go from around that 400mm high point to a max height of around 1m. We are looking to have the wall constructed from either concrete sleepers or composite sleepers but will take advice if there is a better solution in terms of visual appeal, construction time/costs. The yard is not yet excavated. If this is also something you can take care of or if you have a preferred referral, please let us know. Cement and build level retaining wall with blocks and cement supplied. Removal of concrete slab located under blocks in picture. Happy to itemise and get one or the other jobs done however due to the blocks being on the concrete the concrete removal won’t get done until after the retaining wall.
