I have a retaining wall that leads down to what is going to be a pool area. I need steps built on that retaining wall. I have been advised that recessing them would not be practical and that the steps need to be built on the existing wall without moving the rocks. The bottom wall is 1 m high The top wall is 1.3 m high The staircase I am envisioning would need to be at least a metre wide

My from garden retaining wall is rendered but is about 40 years old. I recently had bubbles cut out and patched however the job is incomplete. A little more repair is needed and then I’d like a rough skim coat applied to the entire wall so I can then repaint.
