Task Description: Looking for an experienced audio-visual technician to mount a projector screen and calibrate a 5.1 surround sound system in a completed room in Gisborne. Scope of Work: 1 Mount Projector Screen: Wall-mount a 120" LP Morgan Galleria fixed frame screen onto a plaster wall. It uses a split-batten/cleat system and is a tight corner-to-corner fit (2813mm screen on a 2816mm wall), so precise leveling and stud-finding are critical. Note: You will need to supply a standard aluminum split-batten wall rail as the original tracking is missing. 2 Audio Setup & In-Wall Cabling: Cleanly route speaker cables in-wall (parallel to studs/vertical drops preferred to minimize any plaster damage) for a Bose 5.1 cube/subwoofer system running into a Yamaha AV receiver. There is no roof attic cavity access from above due to room being on the lower floor or sub floor access. You will need to drop cables vertically down stud bays or cleanly route/tuck them into the flooring perimeter/skirting gaps. We want to limit horizontal drywall trenching or messy plaster patching as far as possible. 3 System Tuning: Connect a Panasonic projector, hook up the audio, and use the Yamaha receiver’s calibration/microphone tool to tune and time-align the system for the room. A projector roof mount will be provided. Must have your own tools (stud finder, heavy-duty fixings, level, cable rods/snakes) and experience with high-end home cinema installations. Must hold valid public liability insurance. Please let me know your experience with split-batten mounting when bidding. Bidding Requirements: To be considered for this task, please include: Examples, photos, or a brief portfolio reference of your previous custom AV wall mounts or home theater installations. Audio and visual calibration is required. The specific cabling strategy you propose given the lack of ceiling cavity access. Let me know if you have any questions.
