We have a new mailbox we have purchased from bunnings and wish to install this on our fence. We also have the letterbox post which can be used for mounting. We were thinking of attaching it to the white post (see picture) by drilling holes into the post to attach the letterbox post to and then the mailbox would sit on top of this. We have the screws recommended on the instructions for the post which are coach screws (see picture) but no problem if you think different screws would suit the task better.
