Pool gate not closing properly, touching fence while closing.

My pool fence is all frameless glass. Door is glass to glass accordingly. Issue is pool door won’t shut by itself… I’ve attempted to tension my Polaris hinges however ruined thread on hex tightener. Bought new Polaris hinges (model 155 retrofit) however I don’t think they are the right hinges for cut out in glass door. Have taken door off and on … about 8 times and jack of it. Our house has been sold with settlement due in a few weeks so need it compliant asap. I think anyone with a bit of knack in this space could A) fix the old hinges (as I bought a revamp kit incl new spring) if they know a hack to tension it. B) use components of new hinges (ie slot tension barrels from new into old) and get it working I don’t have the patience to see this thru…

I recently had a pool gate inspection from the council. I need something (a post, or maybe a tiny bit of fencing - I am open to ideas) to cover the gap between the metal post and the fence. See photos. I also need the hinge on the gate tightened. There is a small grub screw in the hinge that can maybe be manipulated so the pool gate closes from a resting position. Need this done before the 20th April.

Screw large Perspex sheet carefully (without cracking Perspex) onto back of metal posts on pool gate

Install pool fence posts and gate and latch lock system - all straight and aligned. May need to put in wood bottom plate to make sturdy so posts secure. Then cut full length fence panel to support size to connect to corner of fence stepped over retaining wall. Want strong and secure install. Can add extra wood supports if needed. Want it to last and be sturdy.
