Repair a fire-damaged section of synthetic turf on my apartment balcony (Cheltenham, level 4, lift access). PATCH REPAIR ONLY -please do not quote for a full replacement. Background The AC outdoor unit on my balcony caught fire and burnt a section of the synthetic turf in the corner where the unit sits. The AC has since been replaced (new unit in place, see photos). The rest of the turf is in good condition and I want to keep as much of it as possible. Existing turf (installed Feb 2020 by a professional installer) - 35mm natural-look synthetic grass, UV protected - Laid over the concrete balcony slab, edges and joins secured - Dry sand infill spread and groomed in - The existing install already has joins that are not visible; the repair needs to match that standard - A minor colour difference from the aged turf is expected and acceptable; a close match in pile height and texture, with invisible seams, matters more. Scope 1. Cut out the damaged area as one neat square/rectangular block in the corner around the AC unit. Estimated block: approx. 1.6m along the wall x 1.2m out from the wall (about 2 sq m). Please confirm on inspection; cut back only to sound, undamaged turf. 2. Supply turf that is the closest possible match to the existing grass in pile height (35mm), colour and texture. Please bring samples to compare on site before cutting. 3. Install the new block with joins seamed and glued so they are not visible: pile direction matched to the existing turf, tight seams, and sand infill brushed in to match the surrounding area. 4. Fit the turf neatly around the AC unit's feet and the downpipe, and keep the balcony drainage outlets clear. 5. Remove the burnt turf and all debris; leave the balcony clean. I've got a 3.3m x 4.2m patch of grass that i'd love synthetic turf laid. We had real turf but didnt survive for whatever reason and now we just track dirt around. Please quote for everything. Removal of existing turf Prepped however needs prep Supply of the turf. (Would be great to have some options, closer to real as possible but understand they can get quite pricey and don't want to go crazy there). We have a dog so want it to be friendly. Hi I have a patch kikuyu backyard which I am planning to fill with turf. I have cleared the existing grass and tilled the area with a rotary hue and sprayed the pesticide in the dirt area to kill any weeds. Next step i am planning to have topsoil and grass delivered to the house. New turf area is be around 25sqm. I need someone to help with this part - to bring in the soil and the turf from the nature strip to the backyard and lay it on. I have a rake but don't have a wheelbarrow. If you have one then that will be helpful, otherwise I will get a cheap one off FB marketplace. I expect the job to take 3-4 hours. The quote is just for labour.
