Loosen subsoil to plant hedge

$75

Flynn, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

21st Oct 2020

I am replanting a front garden hedge because the old one did not grow. In order to prepare the ground I need to loosen the compacted sub strata to a depth of about 30 cms. The bed is about 5.0 m long and 0.4 m wide. I've soaked the trench to soften. I was thinking that a Jack-hammer would make short work of it, or else I can supply a crow-bar. What is required is to loosen the base of the trench to enable penetration of water and roots. See the photo for what the job looks like. Would like by Saturday this week if possible.
