We have 2 levels that needs attention. The plants on the Level 6 terrace include buxus, mondo grass, pencil pines, and Spartan junipers, which require regular topiary trimming. At Level 1, we have devil’s ivy in the screen planter boxes, which need topping up, tidying, and fertilizing. One person can manage one plant on their own. The plants are tied in a couple of places with string so they are not too unwieldy, but there's still a lot of plant to wrangle up a stairwell. A bit awkward but totally doable (because the top half is pretty bendy). The plants weigh around 8k-9kg each - each plant is in a 30cm pot. Delivery is expected for 2.25pm. you will need to take the plants from the delivery truck and carry them up stairs to the rooftop garden on level 4 in a building that does not have an elevator. I think it would take 1 person an hour and 2 people 30 min so the $100 is the total amount for the job to be split amongst yourselves.

I have a balcony that is exposed to intense sun in the morning and is impacted by wind and construction dust. I am also not very knowledgeable about caring for different plants. Some of my plants survive well, some have stopped growing and some have died with various symptoms. I am seeking advice on which of my exisiting plants are most suited to my balcony conditions, how I should care for them and if I need to change their pots (including drilling holes in the bottom).

Collect plants from front of property (they’ll be ready and accessible). 2. Transport plants carefully to the backyard 3. Mark out planting positions evenly spaced along the garden bed or fence line. 4. Dig planting holes: Approx. 2× width and equal depth of the root ball. Loosen surrounding soil for good root growth. 5. Add soil improvement: Mix in compost, planting mix, or slow-release fertiliser if supplied. 6. Place and straighten plants in each hole (ensure level with soil surface). 7. Backfill and firm soil around each plant.

Move 40 pot plants and four tables from one side of the balcony to the other. I’m getting a cat net enclosure installed in a few days and I need to clear the area. Also need to climb ladder to remove vertical wires which climbing plants (bougainvillea) are attached to. I have tendinitis in my shoulder and I’m scared of making my injury worse.

Hi, I'd like to install weed mats in two narrow garden beds with existing plants. The first bed is approx 50cm x 400cm, and second is approx 40cm x 350cm with a 90 degree bend at the end. See photos. I'm looking for weed mats that are roughly 120 gsm, UV stabilised and permeable. It would be great if you could also finish the surface with tanbark (although this isn't a hard requirement). Happy to pay $70 per hour. I'll also be able to get stuck in to help (as long as you have a materials needed).
