Chips and gauge laminate flooring repair

One of the timber steps on my internal staircase has collapsed and needs repairing. The carpet and underlay have lifted, exposing the timber underneath. My Bosch heat pump dryer series 8 keeps flashing the error code of the water not draining (as shown in image). I've cleaned the filters and nothing is blocking it from getting drained from my end. I'm assuming something internal needs to be fixed.

I have 8 x Milk crates that have an under coat of primer already applied. I require the milk crates to be painted along with 4 table tops. The paint will be supplied.
