I need the existing NBN location moved from my front study into my kitchen diner area or potentially lounge room.

I have recently moved into a new home with NBN and connected my modem to the NBN box where the connection works well. The issue is that the wireless modem doesn’t have a strong enough signal to go through the whole house and therefore at the moment it’s connected with a 15 meter ethernet cable and going to the floor above to ensure we have connection throughout the house. Under the NBN box in the garage, there are three or four ports which I am wondering if they are able to be used for the Internet so that we can plug one cable from the NBN box into these ports and then in a different level of the house, plug the modem into that and Have Wi-Fi throughout the house that way, if this is possible then it would insure that we do not have a 15 metre cable running throughout the house - Due date: Before Wednesday, 13 December 2023

Just moved in to my new place. Need the aerial cable run underneath the house to the lounge room. Old owner advised there is a NBN cable underneath the house. Need this installed into a proper wall fixture.

I was wanting to rewire the NBN point to the living room/kitchen, for the address we have FTTC and the NBN point for some reason is in the small bedroom which is unusual, there is a port in the kitchen but it doesnt seem to work there. Having just seen a neighbour's recent nbn installation (pictured with fire extinguisher as an example of what we want to avoid!), I fear for what they intend to do on 19 December when connecting our new utility box to the wall outlet/connection box inside upstairs (also pictured as an example, with the wall outlet in a red box). Rather than wait and see I'd like to set up a drawstring ahead of time so they have absolutely no excuse but to use it. This will likely involve drilling the double brick wall near the utility box (there's already a penetration behind the smaller wall box but it has our current phone line and internet service running through it) and above the skirting board, then attempting to pull a drawstring between the two with a weighted line or cable feeder. I expect you should quote for this approach and then we'll revisit if it doesn't work. Failing that we may have to cut a channel up the inside or outside of the double wall, remove a ~1m length of skirting board upstairs, drill/chisel through, and ideally install a P20 duct with 100mm bend/s (which we can supply from Middy's). Somehow I have pulled out the fibre optic cable in my NBN box - not the plug, just the cable. I've put in a service call via my internet provider but not getting much response. The NBN box is inside, good access. Can the f/o cable be re-connected?
