Bought a house recently and had renovation done. No NBN coaxial socket. There is a NBN utility box on the exterior wall. The utility box is below eaves about 2.3m from floor on the exterior wall (brick). Need to run cable from utility box down about 2m and install coaxial socket for NBN

Hi there I’m hoping someone can recommend an electrician or licensed data cabler who can help with an NBN wiring issue at our home. Our Optus NBN internet has stopped working. Optus technicians have attended multiple times and confirmed: The modem and router are fine The NBN connection works at the external connection point (NBN/Luca box on the verandah) The internal wiring inside the house is not working So it looks like the issue is with the internal cable run. Since this needs repairing anyway, we’d also like to relocate the connection point. Instead of running the cable through walls, skirting boards and internal spaces, we’d like to: Run the cable above the roof Route it to a different room Create a new Ethernet/data point If you’re an electrician or data cabler who can help (or can recommend someone reliable), I’d really appreciate it. Just got new internet connection and NBN cable needs to replace

Hi there 👋 I had an NBN fibre upgrade appointment, but the technician couldn’t complete the installation because I wanted the indoor NBN connection box/modem installed in my closet (where my current setup is). He said he couldn’t use the existing cable path as it runs inside the brick facade, and therefore couldn’t get a new fibre through to that point. He also didn’t install the outdoor unit for the same reason. He advised me to get a licensed electrician/data cabler to: Create a new cable path or conduit from outside (where NBN will mount the outdoor unit) to the closet where I want the modem. Ensure the cable route is ready for NBN to return and complete the fibre connection. Job details: Single-storey brick home 🏡 Need neat, NBN-compliant cabling or conduit installed Easy access to both outdoor wall and closet Just need the cable path ready — NBN will handle the fibre install once this part is done Timing: Flexible — weekday or weekend is fine. The property has an NBN (FTTC) connection but the point is the old style phone jack (cream coloured plug - photo attached), that requires an adapter for use. Ideally we would like to replace the adaptor to a newer style point. At the same time if it could be relocated in the lounge as it's currently in a bedroom which is inefficient.
