A mobile car wash will clean your car at a location that’s convenient for you, whether it’s your driveway or your office. Generally, they’ll supply their own cleaning products and equipment for both the interior and exterior of your vehicle. The specific inclusions and steps will depend on the state your car is in and the specific car washing services you need:

Exterior car cleaning

Firstly, your car will be rinsed with a high-pressure wash to remove dirt and grime. This reduces the risk of abrasive objects remaining on the paintwork and causing scratches throughout the wash. Next, the outside of your car is hand-washed with a detergent or car shampoo that’s gentle on the paintwork but effective in cutting through grease and dirt. This also includes the removal of smears and streaks on your car's glass surfaces, such as the windows and front windshield. Your mobile car washer will pay close attention to bug and tar removal on the front bonnet and side mirrors. Wheels, arches, mud flaps, and tyres will be cleaned to remove brake dust, dirt, and mud. 

Once the outside is fully clean, your car will be hand-dried using a chamois to remove unsightly streaks and watermarks. As a final touch, your mobile car wash provider may add a little gloss to your wheels to make them shine. Hand wax polish can also be applied to provide a lasting finish on the exterior body. 

Undercarriage cleaning

If you’re a keen four-wheel driver and you like to get off the beaten track, you’ll probably need a regular undercarriage clean. Your mobile car washer will use a high-pressure spray to clean away mud, dirt, dust, and saltwater. Car detailing

Car detailing is a deeper cleaning of your vehicle. It will include the usual interior and exterior cleaning services, but your cleaner will pay extra attention to both the interior and exterior of your car. They’ll wax and polish your paintwork to make it like new again. Then they’ll give your interior the royal treatment with seat and carpet steam cleaning, followed by a surface protectant. If you’re selling your car, you might also request your mobile car wash to include cleaning your engine bay to ensure your car presents well.

Paintwork cut and polish

If you’ve got surface scratches or colour fade in your paintwork, you can ask for your mobile cash wash to include a cut and polish. As part of your cut and polish, your car attendant will remove minor surface scratches with a cutting compound and a buffer. (Note that if you notice any major scratches or dents, you’ll need a specialized dent repair service or panel beater.) Next, your car body is waxed to leave a protective coating to stop the damage from UV, dirt, dust, and salt. Finally, it’s time for the polish, which usually involves a handheld machine (similar to a buffer) that gives your paintwork that new car shine.
