We have a campervan which has a battery in the back that is currently charged by the solar and the alternator at the same time. We would like a switch installed or be able to switch between to two so power is not drawn from the battery in the engine. We would also like to know as much info as we can with the current battery we have.

Hi, the alternator on my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe (2.2L Turbo Diesel, DM shape) has failed internally. The charging system has already been professionally diagnosed, it is drawing 11.3V while running, and all drive belts and multi-fuses have been verified as perfectly intact and working. It is a straight remove and replace job. I have already purchased the brand-new, exact matching 150A replacement alternator myself. I just need an experienced mechanic or auto electrician to bring their tools to my driveway in Mackenzie and swap the units over. Help me change the alternator on my car. I have all the necessary tools and new alternator. Mainly need help with tensioner so I can take belt off alternator and same to put back on when new one is in. Some mechanical knowledge would be great. Not a difficult task if have the know how. The alternator has since been replaced, and the engine starts and runs relatively normal, including running for around 20 minutes. However, the following faults remain: * A/C, AUDIO and power-window fuses blow immediately when replaced. * Radio, power windows and air conditioning are not working. * Tail lights remain on when the ignition is off and the key is removed. * The original alternator has been replaced, but the electrical faults persist. Need car alternator from 2001 Ford Transit to be taken out asap

Having some trouble getting the new alternator belt on the engine. Got old one off, the issue is the one that ones round the lower crank shaft and what i think is the the pump as well. Had the radiator out but didn’t make a difference and went away for a bit so bolted back up. Fam is reverse threaded I don’t have the required tools would help for sure. Cheers
