Need car auto electrician to diagnose & fix Apple CarPlay USB issue (2018 Kia Rio) My 2018 Kia Rio has a wired Apple CarPlay head unit, but CarPlay no longer connects. iPhone charges fine through the main console USB port (and there is light in the main USB hub/port for the stereo) but CarPlay is not detected at all. Bluetooth works normally. I’ve already tried multiple good quality USB‑A to USB‑C cables.. confirmed I’m using the correct main USB port.. Restarted phone and stereo, reset head unit/CarPlay settings So at this point it looks like a hardware issue (console USB/aux media hub? wiring to the head unit? dont think the head unit itself is issue) need help to know exactly which part has failed or if it can be repaired.. onsite diagnosis at my location in Chermside area (Brisbane) or your service centre if its nearby.. test the console USB/aux jack, wiring and head unit.. if needed help me order the correct replacement part.. fit the new part once it arrives.. test and confirm that Apple CarPlay works properly again. price offered is for the total process excluding the replacement part order if required.
