I am seeking a quote for pruning and height reduction of a large tree at our property at 7 Willa Avenue, Viewbank in Banyule City Council. The tree is roughly 30cm wide and 10m tall. The tree is currently quite tall and is dropping small fruit onto our neighbour’s roof, which may lead to gutter blockages. We would like to reduce the height of the tree to approximately roof height and prune (or just prune it so it does go over our fence) it appropriately to minimise future fruit drop onto the neighbouring property, while maintaining the health of the tree. Could you please advise: -Whether this type of height reduction is feasible and safe for the tree -Whether an arborist report would be required -Whether a Banyule Council permit is likely to be needed and if you assist with the application process -An estimated cost for the works, including any reporting if required
