there is an ignition issue with my car where the car battery is new but the ignition won’t start. I think it might be an issue with power getting to the starter motor or it may be as simple as a fuse. I am looking for a mechanic and ideally some who understands Toyota Kluger and the engine (2GRFE), which is what my 2009 Kluger has. Basically the car has done 200k kms and the diagnosis of a problem is that due to a sludgey engine, I need to take off both rockers covers clean out all the oil sludge, run some – Remove both rocker covers – Remove sump – Loosen all crud etc sitting in heads and flush it all out with kero/metho etc. – Put baffles back together – Replace PCV valve – Refill with oil This car is an old run around so I am trying to fix the intermittent smoking issues which this will help fix, the engine runs fine and I have had a few people look at it but some garages are trying to charge crazy prices, so looking for someone who could do this job. It is probably a 4 or 5 hour job. I can also source parts (eg rocker cover seals, new PCV valve etc) Happy to drive somewhere to do this or can do this on the Northern Beaches
